Hi, a plumber has been out to my rental property as my tenant reported a blockage causing water to flow back from the washing machine into the dish washer. Both were disconnected and their drainage hoses cleared out but the plumber advises that there is more of a blockage further down the waste pipe.
He has quoted £490 for the following:
Existing waste pipe runs are required to be stripped out, removed and replaced.
Materials: 2” Waste Pipe2” Waste Fittings2” Clips Adaptors Solvent Weld Screws Wall plugs Waste Traps

This seems very expensive to me.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

2” waste pipe isn’t cheap also the drainage run must be a decent length

Depends where in the country you are, access, parking, how quickly you want it, etcetc.
You can always find cheaper.
If you think he can do the job promptly and well and get your property business back up and running, go for it.
How much is the rent per year?
