Kane 450 leak detector/sniffer broken?

How long do they normally last...changed the batterys but mine still churps away over an opened gas hob as if there's no leak (after calibration).

Yep, churp frequency doesn't change at all from callibrating outside to turning on gas hob.

Sounds fecked sensors gone easier to buy a new one or try leaving the battery out for a while

I'll send it off with my analyser and see if it comes back fixed, Kane have a servicing deal on atm.
