Discuss John Lewis ceramic mixer tap washer replacement in the USA area at PlumbersForums.net
Hi I have a John Lewis kitchen mixer tap but can’t see the item name just JL. Does anyone know what replacement ceramic washer I’d need?
It’s approx 5-7 years old. Many thanks

Probably 3 options available:
- Speak to John Lewis customer service (I believe the taps could be made in Italy)
- remove insert/cartridge, and take to merchants/diy chain
- renew the tap instead of faffing about
good luck

Even if you found the make it wouldn't help much in identifying the cartridge.
It's probably just a standard cartridge that you need.
You'll have to remove the handle first and check the number of splines on the end and length of shaft, then get some from Screwfix or similar.
If the Screwfix don't match there are loads of suppliers online, just search Ceramic tap cartridges.
Or a local independant plumbing supplier.

Can anyone tell me what is causing this?
And how to cure?

Is there a seal behind the body?
Thanks.
Every two weeks or so I have to go and top up the system because the hot taps are running cold. Boiler display is flashing 0.6 bar and I fill up to 1.3. I've had an engineer look inside the boiler and he can't see anything wrong. I've checked the pipes all over the house and cannot see any...
The fittings below are for a mixer bar attached to a self contained shower. i.e not a wall. The attaching screws have snapped. I could get two new brackets, dismantle that existing one and start again or I could try and re attach via those screws, removing the broken ones from the plate and wall...
