Recently fitted an ST shower pump that is not yet in use as im still doing the rest of the bathroom.

The pump is on 22mm pipe work from the HW cylinder and CW loft tank with full bore lever valves fitted.
After running the pump for a about 5 minutes to test it a couple of times, ive noticed a fair amount of debris in the shower head filter

im thinking i should fit some sort of filters on the hot and cold supplies to the pump so as not to prematurely knacker it, but at the same time dont want adversely affect the flow rate.

would something like these be suitable for the job?

Does the pump not have strainers on the inlets?
Could always change the inlet washers to ones with a mesh D5B0DDA6-B227-439A-AAD7-124A336AF95C.jpeg

If it is only in the new bathroom then run water through with the head off for awhile and taps open Are you leaving pipe ends open whilst working in the room?
