Hi,
Following an Anglia Water complete loss of Water Supply in Milton Keynes, I had a call from a Tenant reporting the No Water Flow Fault On the Ideal S32 Gen2.

When I arrived at the property I found the pressure in the System Loop was absolute zero. There were boiler manual papers out in the cylinder cupboard in front of the tank, by the filling loop.
Of course a loss of pressure to the property should not impact the system loop pressure, but I suspect the tenant managed to release the pressure from the system loop, back out of the filling loop circuit, which because of the Anglian water outage was unpressurised. I would of thought there would be a one way value to stop reverse flow, but I’ll have to address that after.

i reprssurised the system and it’s being running for a 2 days with no loss of system pressure, however I have had a few repeat No Water Flow faults albeit with normal system pressure and have come to the conclusion that there is some air / air locks in parts of the system. It’s a 6 bed 3 floor property, so lots of scope for trapped air. I’ve vented the rads and run the system on the Vent Service Mode a few times. Initially the fault returned within the 5 min vent cycle and the it stabilised. I also ran the Service Mode Maximum Ch Rate 10min cycle a few times and initially heard some air blocks passing the pump and juddering the pressure gauge.

Now all appears settled, and I’m just waiting to see if it is truly solved, but also wondered if anybody has any other ideas ?

Many thanks,

No, decided to go for Viessmann Vitodens 100-W 35kW Combi as it can modulate down to 3.2kw

OK, thought it was at the mains end.......just open any rad vent or whatever so to get enough flow to heat a section of the leaking coil.
