Discuss how to fix this leaking tap in the Bathrooms, Showers and Wetrooms area at PlumbersForums.net
thank you so much. turned the water off at the stopcock ,then tried what you recommended and it worked a treat. new washer for about £1 and all fixed. very many thanks.brilliantMost likely either:
1. The topmost chrome cap unscrews from the gold coloured band. OR
2. The gold coloured band unscrews from the larger chrome shroud on each tap.
This should reveal a screw which, if undone, allows the top of the tap to be removed. The body of each valve can then be unscrewed from the body of the tap with a spanner.
