I would like heating engineers opinion on hounsfield oil boilers. Are they any good?

I'm in a Facebook group where the owner behind the company is too. He's a good guy and I know a few of my fellow engineers who swear by them, they are good boilers. One note to add is the high limit stat is adjustable and may need to be adjusted upon installation as can trip when burner shuts down if set to low.
In terms of warranty you won't have a problem

Yep there good only fitted two but no complaints

Didn't think you worked with oil mate?

only install new as I haven’t got much experience on fault finding on them and tbh don’t get much call for them

you seen the new naviens look interesting

I have yes. Google EOGB sapphire burner. Utilizes a highly efficient permanent magnet motor and a pressure transducer, mixed with sophisticated controls. Gives full modulating range from around 5 to 30KW. I know you gas guys have had modulating burners for some time but this is a step in the right direction for oil

Far in front of the rest warranty very good even if you need it better made better insulated totaly reliable fitted them for years no problems very good on oil consumption very clean advise anyone to buy one can't spend money any better on a boiler

I have an ideal vogue max S18 boiler and I’m considering fitting auto balancing TRVs, my question relates to the boilers pump. I see a boiler pump menu for either 70% or 100%, so, is the pump set at either one of two fixed speed percentages or does the pump actually vary speed, (modulate)...

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

We are from Alberta, and I own an electrical company. I have been asked by a BC Mechanical P. Eng. to install an emergency STOP button at the man-door to the boiler room. It's intent is to 'halt' the operation of the boilers in the room should there be an emergency. He is demanding that I do...

Can anyone recommend a decent multi meter, preferably under a 100 pounds. It's for checking boiler components so I don't need a top spec one ....just easy to use and reliable. The fluke 115 looks good but its above my budget. My current socket and see one was great but it's developed a fault.
