Any one use the hinge unit on the Riello R40? just wondered how useful it was? :Heating Spare Parts would save putting the burner on the boiler house floor.

Yes. It used to be supplied with the burner on the larger new Warmflow boilers years ago.
I find it quite handy if you have space to left and right of burner to manover the burner about.
The hinge can be a bit stiff though.

Have also used them on large sectional boilers.
Serviced a wall mounted external Camray 5 today, which
Have a similar hinged support for the RDB.
Excellent idea, makes service easy.

Just a heads up, these hinge units do not fit if the back/black casing of the R40 is in place, taking it off makes a nonsense of any FGA readings previously obtained.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
