Job im pricing up , picture it, big house currently has 2 bathrooms downstairs, a 35kw Combi in,
pricing up to put 7 ensuites in (existing bathrooms staying as are), 2 are located on ground floor and the other 5 are upstairs.
There is no loft space. The incoming supply at the moment is 1/2'.
The ensuites will consist of basin, bar shower and toilet.
Due to the location of the property, (a cemetery believe it or not!) we can't dig up and run new bigger MDPE supply in.
So I was thinking of leaving the combis to supply the bathrooms downstairs and then for the ensuites I was thinking direct cylinder with cws tank. But then its the height for the tank, we don't have it! the ceiling is basically just the roof.
So then I was thinking a tank stored at a low level possibly the ground floor where there is more room and then pumped.
We don't want to fit electric shower as only single phase.
Anyone recommend a particular system or way which might be best? any help appreciated

cheers

Could you mole a new main in or pull one in through the old main ?

If you can could you put a shed up and put a break tank and pump in there ?

Hi Shaun,

The building is grade 2 listed, we can't put a shed up unfortunately. But we do have a massive kitchen that we can build a separate cupboard space to house it

have a look at the dab system

What’s the mains flow like as it might be worth getting the extra tank if it’s bad

What's your indemnity insurance like?

You dont want to install something that wont work. As a minimum I would want an upgrade of the mains.

Are you adding 7 ensuites?

If so, I would be specifying water mains size required and getting the owner of the property to provide that through their water company.

You need to cover yourself, because you will be the one responsible & liable, if things don't work as they should after the works have been completed

Not rated for constant demand normally 15mins on an hour off
