I am a 24 year old guy looking to start an apprenticeship in semptember. Although i am a little old to be taken on as an apprentice i have managed to secure a place on ATL college in september to study. I appriciate in these difficult times it is going to prove harder than normal however i am finding it near on impossible. i have tried so many different things and was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice for me? i have contacted in excess of 40 plumbing companys in my local area (southampton) asking for them to take me on without any sucsess. i have also offered to work free of charge just for experiance. i have done a few college courses to get as much knowladge arround plumbing as psossble for september. i have also advertised around many local plumbers merchants in the area without any sucsess. i am now at a total loss of where to go or what to do in order to sucessfully get an employer for september. I am even now willing o travel as far as london for this as its a real passion of mine. i would appriciate any ideas advice or information from anyone. Thanks guys and look forward to your responses.
