Hi everyone!

Again as everybody else, just wanted to say hi. Im new to the forum and thought it would be a good source of resource.

I am currently on my last term of my Western Region Open College Network 61539 accreditation and will soon be in a position to start finding a job. I am new ish to the industry and am coming from a completely different background (computers). I have picked things up quite quickly and am dedicated however I realise that I still have a lot to learn and am not nieve about that one. I have also just aquired my water regulations ticket which I did with BPEC this month.

I just wondered if anybody else out there was in the same position and has found employement, or if any of you that are a bit more of an old hat (pardon the expression) in the industry could offer any advise as to what my best shot would be in getting into the industry and getting that all important first job (what type of plumbing job etc and who is more likely to be interested in somebody at my stage of their career. Im 28 by the way, so plenty of work life still in me!!

Anybody who can offer any advise would be greatfully accepted and appreciated.

Darren.
