Any advice on how to resolve groaning / creaking pipes?
 
you would need to trace where the pipes are binding and remedy so it could be quite a drawn out job of lifting boards to see where pipes are run and what needs doing. the noises are expansion and cintraction so they could be binding on each other or on joists ore on the boards because notches are not deep enough

Cheers - as it literally started over night could there be other causes? Air in system or something like that? Layout has been set for years and this is a brand-new problem
