Hi all,

I am upgrading my external water supply pipe to 25mm MDPE.

I have an external water meter just on the boundary of my property and was wondering what the connection will be off the meter?

Dig it up and have a look, you’ll have to do that to connect anyway...

Got a mini digger coming to site for the morning was wanting to hit the merchants early doors grab the connector and get back to make the connection and back fill before the digger has to leave at dinner. Problem is nearest merchants is a 90 minute round trip

could be copper could be a male connection could be a alk connection depends how old and what existing supply is

To be honest backfilling hardly requires a digger.

But, why don’t you hand dig by the meter first thing and then off you go. By the time you’re back the trench will be done- or if you’re doing it you’ll have time to dig - if no time to fill that’s not really a big issue.

However - don’t the water board or building control need to see the pipe in trench before it’s filled?
