Hi everyone

just a quick question...

currently got a external tap on rear of house, and would like to T off and take a feed around to garage. The shortest and hopefully less complicated route involves going underneath some wooden decking (about 4m). Is that ok to route to go? And if so what pipe would be best to use? Copper, pex or mdpe?

I appreciate any advice given, I’m a mechical/electrical engineer by trade but we are all learning everyday :)

Which ever route you go it needs to be protected from the winter temperatures , any external pipework will need insulation I have used these in the past. Mdpe pipe in a trench 600mm deep adapted at each end once out of the ground to copper and isolation at the point where you take the supply another thing to remember is back flow a double check valve is needed also .
