Erratic shower temperatures.

My shower used to deliver water at an ideal temperature to both the main shower head and the the smaller head on a flexible hose. Suddenly the temperatures are erratic,either boiling hot or freezing cold. What do I need?

What heat source is used to supply the shower

Hi,The water is heated by a boiler,and goes into a tank in the airing cupboard.Then goes through a pump in the loft to create a power shower.

Filters on pump, filters on shower, incorrect installation of pump, shower cartridge.

Could it be the thermostat (in the shower)

That would be the shower cartridge.
