Any views on which is the best, most reliable and most efficient? Last I heard it was the freeze master. Are there any new contenders to the crown?

I have a freeze master, would defo have another, but it does have to go back for a fettle every 3/4 years ish !!!.

freezemaster and mine needs a bit of refrigerant, not bad tho for 2nd hand after 3 years

Freezemaster 720D awesome kit. Doesn't need recharging

Sole vote for Rothenberger Rofrost turbo. We bought them for our hire fleet, and havent regretted it.

The cheap Rothey freeze unit gets indifferent reviews though.

I have had the smaller Rothenburger Eco for a couple of years now and it has worked faultlessly everytime. Just check the water reservoir is full and off you go.

if thats the one that works on a timer, dont try it on hot 28mm pipe or bigger is my advice, based on the results a local lad had with his one, very messy :) my freeze master has frozen hot heating pipework in a hotel when I needed to T into it, which surprised but pleased me.

It only goes to 22mm and is definitely designed for smaller domestic jobs, like most things used correctly they work well. I have heard a few stories of people seeing a ice bung fly out the end of the pipe followed by mains pressure supply.

I am in process of replacing an existing sink with a new stainless steel one. The existing tap is plumbed directly to copper which means that it is earthed. The new tap will use flexible tails and so will not be earth bonded. My initial search for information suggests that there is no legal...
