A client with poor mobility needs the bathroom door to open as easily as it does now and close slowly but gently behind her. Is that even possible, usually opening a door with one fitted means opening to tension a return spring. Advice appreciated, don't know anything about them.

Electric opening & closing. Does however depend on space around door hinges. If not much then would not work.

So any purely mechanical closer would always need to be effectively "primed" on opening making it more difficult to open?
