Connect Siemens RWB27Si Timeswitch wireless thermostat to baxi combi boiler.

Hi, I just wanted to ask if the receiver of a wireless thermostat would use the current wiring I have to a external programmer? I have a Baxi platinum 28 boiler.

Yes this should be ok, but check it out first. I’d say being a Baxi, it might not have 24v. Is it a Combi boiler?

Yes it's a combi and it has the programmer wired externally but no thermostat

We currently have a Siemens RWB27Si Timeswitch connected and I want to connect a Salus IT500 receiver. Just want to know if the wires from the boiler will operate it, with a straight swap?

Might not be a straight swap, but should be doable. I believe Salus are not very good. When you have purchased it, post wiring of the Siemens and we can advise on the wiring.

Think I might go for hive v3 now.

So the current programmer is using terminals 2 & 4 but a video I watched says use 1 & 2 on hive. Will I just swap 2 to 1 and 4 to 3 on new receiver?

Looks good to me, there’s a kink in the blue switched wire though.

Looks nicked also can’t have single insulation on show eg needs the flex into the hive
