Can I use a Wirquin / Senzo Space Saving Trap on my bath?

Hi

I have just bought this item, Wirquin/Senzo space saving trap, I intended to use it on my bath (the existing piping is in a very awkward position now I have put a new bath in).

The illustrations on the instructions are of basins, no mention of a bath. Can I still use it on my bath (please say yes)?

Sounds as though the trap's are designed for basins and not baths which to me say they are the wrong size .......check out the Mac Alpine waste trap website for idea's to solve your problem....regards Turnpin:90:

Me neither, is a mcalpine q10 no good? can the flooring be cut around the trap slightly if the reason is your trying to get the bath height very low?

Hi, thanks for replies. My problem is that the waste pipe for the old bath is now almost directly beneath the plughole of the new bath. The old pipe goes straight down through floorboards and isn't possible to relocate. This trap fits and solves my installation problem, but I am worried something will go wrong if it is really intended for basins.

The waste should have been altered below the floorboards before the new bath was fitted.

Ok I'll ask. Why wasn't the pipework altered?

The bath isn't fixed in place yet, I could still dig up the floorboards and relocate pipework, though it would be a pretty big destructive job.
My question is can I use this flexible trap, and if I shouldn't I would be really interested to know why not.

Im surprised that it fits if it says its for basins to be honest.

If it was me, while you can before the bath is fixed in place, just whip up a board two and move the waste, shouldn't be a big job, you may have to cut a floorboard or two on the line of a joist if the rest of the bathroom is tiled.

I read the ad on Amazon and nowhere does it say it's suitable for a bath
