How essential is biocide in UFH? I have brown dirt in nearly all flow-meters and heard different views on how effective biocide (such as X700) may be. Some say brown colour is from iron particles (magnaclean is fitted) other say its from bacteria living in the pipes? On a close topic: Is it ever a good idea to power flush 'dirty' underfloor heating system?

Just mains flush it and yes it’s best to add some
