Hi all,
Quick question. I have a baxi 105e instant that has a Diverter valve issue. The bypass is allowing hot water around the bypass pipe and into the CH return pipe. I have looked at a rebuild kit and it seems that there are 2 listed. One is a cartridge type and the other more a kit. My question
Is, can the cartridge replace the older style sliding spool or are they not interchangeable ?
Thanks
Roseyp

One on the right is for an external bypass but you have to check the hot water plate isn’t blocked as this will have the same symptoms

Hot water flow rate is good, no change really just taking longer to warm up. Boiler deffo has the external bypass as I can feel the pipe getting hot as soon as the dhw fires up. Goes from the rear of the Diverter to the rear of the ch return manifold. I will drop the plate heat exchanger out as I have new seals, but it either rebuild the Diverter with the kit, or get a new Diverter valve. Trouble will be the part numbers seem the same for the valve whether it’s an external or internal bypass, so I need to ensure that I get the correct one
Thanks for help though

The right one is for the 105 the left one is for a duo tec etc

A refurb valve is only £35 so maybe go that route. This is only a stop gap as I’m looking to get the boiler replaced before Xmas
Thanks again

Hi,

Our heating stopped working today. We've got a Veissmann boiler that's under a year old, and an older Megaflow cylinder, and two diverter valves (all about 10 years old). We also use a Hive thermostat.

When I boost the hot water with Hive, the receiver near the boiler shows it's...
