Hi, i am making our false chimney breast deeper to put a Yeoman cl8 balanced flue gas stove in, i have concerns about the cavity wall insulation, do i need to remove the insulation where the flue pipe goes through the wall? Not sure how hot the flue gets externally ( im assuming its insulated to prevent any fire risk) or whether its any risk of setting the insulation on fire. Im doing the building work myself as the fire company quoted £700 lol.. I will have the fire fitted by a gas safe fitter though. I just want to be sure ive done everything right.
