Hello all, I have a query that I need advice on. I have a ariston microgenus boiler. I have replaced the air flow switch due to a problem with the switch, however as I refit the cover the boiler does not fire, as I take cover off, even slightly as to allow air flow in, it works fine. I closed the boiler up and allowed air to flow via a entry above the boiler and the boiler works fine, however as soon as I close it, it does not respond. The above entry, as the boiler is firing causes a suction effect which tells me that maybe the flue is faulty and the oxygen is being sucked alternative routes ie the above gap. Please can someone enlighten me with your expertise.

It’s a very straightforward fix, but sorry we’re not able to advise on gas/combustion related issues on an open forum.. you could get yourself into all sorts of trouble messing with things you’re not qualified to mess with.
sorry pal rules is rules
You’ll need to get a gas safe engineer to look at it

Thank you for your input, just so you know, I am gas Safe, but only recently qualified, so I am still learning new things.

There is a secret section of the forum where all gas things are discussed, you need to have a certain number of forum posts and submit your gas safe registration card for authorisation.
