Having problems with a recurring air lock in the cold water system which is tank fed. Every couple of months it dribbles out very slowly hot water. Not full flow but just a dribble. I use a wet vac to suck the air out every couple of months but it re occurs.

Is it possible it’s due to a faulty pump or cylinder thermostat. They are the first two that spring to mind but the only concern I have is it dribbles out the cold tap instead of full flow as if the vent was discharging in the tank.
 
Pump ? Shower pump ?
