Discuss Adverts getting in the way of a supposed forum in the Make a suggestion about the forum in general area at PlumbersForums.net

It must be hard to manage the business side of this forum. I'd imagine the major cost of running it is the result of use by the general public, but those of you who are here regularly and contribute to answering the many DIY questions for free may object to paying £20 a year (seems a lot when you consider 2CVGB annual membership is £34 in the UK and includes both a forum and a monthly printed newsletter posted to your door).

I suppose the issue is that 2CVGB is run by volunteers and plumbersforums isn't, but very hard to get me enthusiastic about a forum that gives me eyestrain. I'm not sure what the solution is.

I can't read the first post on this thread (or most new threads) at the moment because the text is covered by a large advert for 'relief for diabetic feet'. Just to make sure I don't miss it, the same advert appears three times at various points in the page.

I'm using Safari (Version 17.2 (18617) on a Mac Book Pro).
