Hi All. I am currrently installing a toilet on ground floor. I have cango'ed a channel in concrete floor to back yard and pick up existing waste. I have got a number of different opinions including google regarding fall. It is about a 12 Metre run with no bends. The following falls I was given are: 1" per 4 Ft 1 in 40
and 1" per 4 Metres.

In reality you can get away with lower gradients if you have to. As there are no bends this helps. How far are you going ? and it’s obviously from a standard toilet pan..what happens at the other end..it helps again if there is a drop into the existing. Centralheatking

Thanks guys, that works out at approx 1/4" per foot. Its a 12M run and I will need 1 bend on the sewer side. I might just make it. I think existing soil is low enough. I will have to get the trowel out and build chamber

Hi. I need a new toilet supply line but don’t know the size type of the fitting at the shut off valve. It is not 3/8 compression. It is a plastic nut about the same size as the one going into the cistern but has a different thread. Attached is a photo. Can you advise. Thanks.

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
