Hi everyone
Whilst having an extension built 15 years ago I ran x2 20mm mdpe pipes under the patio to run hot and cold from my existing system to the extension. The time has come to utilize the extension and I would like to start preparing the services in the extension.

I have read that mdpe pipe is not suitable for hot supply. The run is approx 4m under the patio and would return to copper within 300mm of entering the extension. Am I doomed to fail for such a short run or any other suggestions would be welcomed.
thanks dickymint

Did you insulated the pipe work?

Waste of time putting a hot service in as the ground will absorb most of the heat

I want to reconnect some outbuildings to an existing water supply. The supply pipe is old 22mm MDPE and buried for a fair distance so not going to dig it up and replace it 😬. Question is can I use normal 22mm plumbing push-fit connectors to make the connection as finding 22mm MDPE fittings...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
