turbo
A turbocharger (technically a turbosupercharger), colloquially known as turbo, is a turbine-driven, forced induction device that increases an internal combustion engine's power output by forcing extra compressed air into the combustion chamber.
This improvement over a naturally aspirated engine's power output is because the compressor can force more air—and proportionately more fuel—into the combustion chamber than atmospheric pressure (and for that matter, ram air intakes) alone.
Manufacturers commonly use turbochargers in trucks, cars, trains, aircraft, and construction-equipment engines. They are most often used with Otto cycle and diesel cycle internal combustion engines.
I have a Turbo Edge recently fitted to a close coupled wc.
The configuration on the syphon is all 3 white plastic plugs closed together with the rear mono flush removed and fitted within the main syphon.
The water level within the cistern is at the syphon marked water level.
My problem is when...
Hi all,
Managed to pick up a Rofrost Turbo and only one of the connectors seems to freeze. Was thinking maybe the unit needs a regas.
Anyone know who can regas it in the London area?
Iv tried a Google search but all I seem to find is fridge/freezer refrigeration 'engineers'.
TIA
Hi looking for advice please
Have Vaillant Turbo Max 837E boiler, the dial temperature set at 42 degree (on 10 clock where as used to be 2oclock if you know what I mean), however when water comes out the tap it continues to go warm, hot, boiling hot, cold, within 10 seconds it can go from 28...
Seriously impressed with this bit of kit, it seems like quite a lot to lay out for a tool which you can in theory live without but I think I’ll make my money back on it very quickly.
Freeze times depend on pipe size obviously but I’ve found them to be about 5 mins on 15mm copper and less than...
The above unit has just been fitted by a plumber. However the flush time is 12 seconds and is less powerful than my previous syphon and does not appear to clear all solids from the bowl.
Is there a restrictor in this syphon unit that needs to be removed to improve the performance or is this...
Hi,
I am not a plumber.
My boiler is losing pressure slowly. It drops from about 1.5 bar to 0.5 bar over 2 months.
I am getting the boiler serviced next week.
I have checked all rad connections. I added leak seal but this made the pump noisy. Boiler (Vailant Turbo Compact) is 13 years old. It...

Recently fitted an adjustable Turbo 88 in my toilet, after my last siphon gave out. Full flush works really well (9L level) but holding the handle down- half flush only works occasionally (mostly goes on to do full flush) and there's no logic to when it does. We have a water meter and so I'd...

Hi,
Can someone please advise?
My Vaillant Turbo Compact has been losing pressure (0.1 bar per week) for the last 10 years! I top it up very 2 to 3 months. I have had 2 plumbers in to inspect and they cannot tell me if it is due to the boiler or a leak in the pipes under the floor.
I...
Hopefully someone can offer best course of action!

Hi all
Just managed to get a rothenberger rofrost turbo pipe freeze.
Went with the advise after considering bottled Co2 (thanks corbsy)
It was virtually for free - partly because it has no inserts
So im going to machine some and have some large round alloy bar here.
Can anyone measure the...
Didn't realise they were so pricey, I'm blown away! It's a 110V and he gave me a transformer as well. Apparently one clamp doesn't freeze brilliantly. Any recommendations as to where to get it looked over and re-gassed if necessary?
Hi I want to drain the system to move a radiator. We have not longed moved in so inherited this boiler, our last one was wasy to fill, there was a flex loop In etween two valves. There doesn't seem to be a loop on this one and just wondering if anyone can identify which two valves I need to use...
Evening gents,
Has anyone ever come across one of these?
It's a horrible looking thing but I have been tasked with replacing the syphon on it, it's far from a standard syphon as the hole in the top will not take any other button than the one already there, the syphon works with a cantilever...
