trv
TRV Tuna (801) was one of three Torpedo Recovery Vessels operated by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and Defence Maritime Services (DMS). Ordered in 1969, the vessel, originally identified as TRV 253, was completed in 1970 and assigned to the torpedo firing range at Jervis Bay. The ship received a name and the pennant number "TRV 801" in 1983. In 1988, the three vessels were sold to DMS. Tuna was assigned to the naval base at HMAS Creswell in Jervis Bay. Tuna was active in DMS service as of 2007.
So been trying to search this for some time and finding mixed results, I have 10mm JD Speed fit piping coming out the wall and hoping to use it on the original TRVs, things that keep popping up are
these JG stem reducers, but doesn't seem right that the value would go onto the end? wouldn't...
Hope this is in the right forum.
We've a utility room radiator with 10mm pipework; fitted about 6 years ago it has a BOSS TRV which has failed (the sensor plunger just flops around - as if the sensor has leaked) and the radiator is always "on".
I don't consider 6 years a reasonable life so I'm...
Good evening - I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this.
Squealing high pitch TRV's when reaching the required shut-off temp.
I understand its probably the pressure in the system making the pin in the TRV vibrate. Or pump turned up too high - which I guess would cause the same effect of...
I had my combi fitted approx 10 years ago, Trvs fitted to all rads apart from one in the bathroom and the end of the loop before the return, installer said that that radiator could never be turned off because it would prevent return flow, I understand that, however can i fit a Trv on it to...
I just found a small amount of a dark brown/black oily substance under a Danfoss trv that I had turned off the day before. Could this have come from the trv itself or more likely to be a slight leak from the radiator.? The system is quite old but I just moved into the house recently so no...
Good morning!
I've had no heat in my attic bedroom for over 2 years - the rest of the radiators worked fine, but this one was a dead duck.
I watched some YouTube videos, and read through these forums, and decided to have a look at the TRV pin. Lo and behold it was stuck down!
I managed to...
TRV valve won't fit...Have to replace a TRV valve..thought I'd just relace the head and save on the messing about.. Bought a standard 15mm replacement..went to screw the head replacement on..thread is not standard..inside diameter is approx 1 mm smaller!! See photo attached. Went back to b and q...
Hi All,
I cannot seem to find a replacement for my Bulldog 42 EN215 TRVs. See attached pics.
I only want to buy the head.
Does anyone know where I can buy these or are they obsolete?
Thanks for any advice
Hi All,
I have a number of Bulldog TRVs installed to my radiators (15mm pipe) and most have snapped or broken. :(
I would like to replace just the TRV head (not the valve), so that I don't have to drain the rads.
Are there any like-for-like alternatives that I can buy from screwfix? They have...
Hi, could anyone point me in the direction of a trv valve adapter that would fit a Siemens, thread: M28 x 1.0 mm? This is the part number referenced in a smart valve pdf which they don't supply 6296/3 EAN: 4011395232583. Also let me know if there is an alternative adapter that I could use.
Thanks
Hi, I would appreciate a little help.
I am unlucky enough to have an 8mm microbore gravity fed indirect central heating system (11 Radiators) on a 30 year old free-standing floor boiler. The radiator valve/lockshield are the twin entry type (8mm).
All the radiators are fine except for two: a...
Hey
Sorry for the very basic question! Just putting my Screwfix shopping order together. We'll be putting a radiator in the bathroom and don't want that to have a TRV. So what does it have instead? A lockshield on both sides?
Any recommendations on what to get for a Stelrad Compact...
Hi,
I'm getting a Tado smart heating system (have a gas combi boiler). I don't have TRVs currently, so I need to get a plumber to replace my old valves and get TRVs everywhere. So I might as well get good ones, and it doesn't really matter whether one costs €15 or €25.
I found the Danfoss...
Need a few trvs any suggestions as to decent ones at a fair price. I can get Pegler Terriers for £9 which seems okay or the Pegler Mistral for £10
If I got something like a Drayton TRV4 we are talking around £21 though that includes lockshield. A lot of lockshield valves look crap to me. I have...
Need a couple of anthracite coloured trvs. Reading reviews of them seems people do not like some, namely those with a spring in the lockshield end. Now in my place have fitted quite a few Pegler Mistrals which have this spring arrangement and seem fine. Is there any real difference in operation...
Thanks for looking.
A bungalow I'm buying has a couple of TRV's missing but they are these ones. It's a few hours journey, so would appreciate if anyone can recognise it. Sorry for blurry image.
I have recently replaced all fourteen Stelrad radiators eight singles four doubles and two chrome towel radiators on small bore 10 mm piping in my four bedroom detached house. The Grundfoss pump is ten years old and sounds good .no bearing rumble. The Ideal classic ff 350 boiler is twenty years...
