towel radiator
A towel rails radiator or a heated towel rail is a feature designed to heat towels before using them. For many years, European hotels have used them as combined towel- dryers/racks. The towel warmer is a bathroom heater suitable for both drying and heating towels and the environment. There are two versions: traditional ones that are plumbed like a radiator with water heated from a central boiler, and electric ones where an electrical resistance heats water or oil contained in the unit
Good evening all,
I have two towel radiators that are part of the central heating system that I cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn off/on.
There are two white caps at the base of the radiator on either sides of the radiator as followed:
and...
When I remove these two...
Hi all
I have a heated towel rack in my kitchen. I noticed recently that all the paint is peeling off the top and cracking down the length of the radiator. The white surface is stained with dark radiator water and the whole thing looks god awful.
I want to repaint it, but am assuming that the...
We have a gas boiler in the kitchen downstairs, and the 22mm feed and return go across the ceiling (in the joists) to the airing cupboard where the pump and valve (diverter valve for CH and HW) are. Between the boiler and pump the 22mm passes under our bathroom, and I would like to fit a towel...
Can i break into the 22mm main flow and return to fit an additional radiator (towel Rad) in a bathroom using 22mm to 15mm quick-fit tee's. It's quite close to the combi boiler and would be the first radiator being used ?
Hi, I've picked up a secondhand electric towel radiator, can these generally be converted to be used with a central heating system? It was probably made as an electric one but I can see how it might be possible to unscrew the heating element and also the cap on the other side to connect pipework.
Hi everyone,
The guys who put in my new combi boiler and radiators have left a hot and cold pipe in the bathroom ready for me to plumb-in my new towel radiator. They both have isolator valves (phew), so I'm assuming that connecting them up to the new radiator should be pretty straight forward...
Hi, my towel radiator has just stopped working, the connections are all good. The timer program is working but when the timer kicks in to turn the heating element on , no blue light ,no electric sent to the element, it's called a time guard, FST-11A

Does it just need replacing?
Hi All,

Thanks
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any advice please.
i have a towel rail radiator, every few weeks it goes cold at the top and I end up bleeding quite a bit of air from it.
No pressure drop on the system just air! It's been like it for ages but looking for a solution.
Thanks
Hi. I want to replace a leaking bathroom radiator with a towel radiator. The existing radiator (which I have already removed) has a top feed and bottom exit.
Is it possible to fit the towel radiator using the existing pipework or do towel radiators always have to have both bottom feed and...
Hi all. I'm just wondering if different people have a different method for hanging a towel rad to 1st fix vertical pipework?
Do you all just drop the rad onto the pipes and try and hold it in place whilst levelling everything up? Or if there's play in the pipe(up&down) do you hang it by...
Hi every one, I have a bathroom radiator problem, I have tried on numerous occasions to get the this radiator working, I have bled it umpteen times, when you touch the incoming pipes they are just warm, both valves are open, but still no heat, any of you guys got any suggestions.

Hi all,
im planning to change my towel radiator and have a couple of questions. I managed to remove the old one without draining the system as I could remove the rad but leave the rad's isolator valves (note these are from the radiator and not part of the copper piping). The problem is that...
Hi
I am not a plumber nor experienced diyer and have some questions about ladder dual fuel radiators. The WWW seems to be a bit lacking.. :)
1) I was wondering how you choose your element wattage? Is it based on rad height vs element length or rad wattage vs element wattage?
2) there is...

Hi, we live in a newish house with plastic heating pipes dropped in the walls. In the wc there is currently a small rad, the pipes are central behind it and brought out onto microbore copper behind the rad which is ok as they are fixings don't show.
I'm about to tile the room and at the same...
