I'm looking to understand mains water pipe adapter sizes. Maybe I'm missing something, but here goes:
I have 32mm plastic water pipe feeding the property. I need to step this down to 28mm plastic pipe to feed each floor and then 22mm round each floor.
Looking round the internet, every...

Some basic questions about JG Speedfit
I see reference in other threads to JG to 'push fit'. Looking at a JG video on youtube they show a speedfit fitting where the outer ring is locked after pipe is installed.

Is there only 1 type...
I have a small two bedroom semi bungalow with a two year old Heatmax 28HE combi feeding 5 rads and a towel rail. I recently converted a garage (which is linked to the house via a conservatory ) into a bedroom and now want to add a radiator to the bedroom instead of using an oil-filled radiator...

Running a bathroom refurb in Speedfit. Only used it a handful of times with a previous 'builder' who believed you could twist speedfit all over the place, not pipe clip it for support and use connections like...

I've been using the superseal types on 10mm pipe recently (belt and braces), however I have just got back from the merchants to discover they have given me the standard ones without the O ring, I'm considering whether to use them or not worrying whether the joints might fail in the future if I...
Is it acceptable to use 22mm speedfit pipe (using an insert) with any conventional copper pipe compression fitting to mate 22mm copper pipe to PB speedfit pipe? The guide mentions hard olives must not be used and recommends copper and not brass olives. Are fittings normally supplied with copper...
Hi all
A lot of new build houses now seem to be done in Speedfit with the plastic pipes running down the walls to a wall plate behind the radiator, then out into the rad valves.
I went to a job a couple of weeks ago where the guy had gone to hang his clock in the dining room and put a screw...
I have been using jg speedfit for a number years now and until recently have had no major problems.
However, i have just been called to a job i completed a couple of months ago because the boiler had lost pressure. I attempted to top the pressure back up only to find it wont pressurise. I...

Hi,
lots of great advice ref additional CW tank installation, thanks.
But, the 22mm tank connectors say they require a 36mm hole in the wall of the tank for the fitting.
I can find plenty of 35mm or 38mm but no 36mm.
Is it crucial, or is it a case of using a 35mm & 'helping' it in...
Hi,
I have to tee into an old 3/4" pipe for a new shower.
I read somwhere you can get 3/4" olives to go into standard 22mm compression fittings.
Is this the done thing? If so are they readily available?
cheers!
