replacement radiator

Orbital replacement units (or on-orbit replaceable unit: 21 ) (ORUs) are key elements of the International Space Station that can be readily replaced when the unit either passes its design life or fails. ORUs are parts of the main systems and subsystems of the external elements of the ISS, none are intended to be installed inside the pressurised modules. Examples of ORUs are: pumps, storage tanks, controller boxes, antennas, and battery units. Such units are replaced either by astronauts during EVA or by the Dextre (SPDM) robotic arm. All are stored on the three external stowage platforms (ESPs) or the four ExPRESS Logistics Carriers (ELCs) mounted on the Integrated Truss Structure (ITS).

How many BTUs to I need? (Yes, that question again.)

I'm thinking of replacing an exiting radiator (see photo) with something a bit more exciting. A bit of Googling suggests the existing one is rated at about 5600 BTUs. (It's 1100mm by 500mm, type 22.) I've used about 10 online BTU calculators to try to get an idea of what's actually needed. Some...

Do I need replacement radiator valves?

Hi I am very new to all this, so please excuse what is likely a very simplistic newbie question! Our radiators seem to either run very hot or stone cold. It is sometimes possible to achieve a warm radiator (around setting number 2 on the valve), but only if the adjustment is a tiny...

Help with uneven heat in new replacement radiator

I have just swapped out a single panel radiator for a double in our cold bathroom. I have bled the system out and confident that the system is as free of air as it can be.
