Hi,
I just put a couple of these in:
Problem is, the mixer valve is not regulating the output reliably. eg set boiler to max (78C) and get 57C going into the UFH circuit, which is way too high - it should be regulating to 35C on MIN according to the sheet.
I'm not sure if this is a problem...
Initial begatube UFH system, 6 zones downstairs and 7 rads upstairs. 1 zone. I know thats rbbish but was new build and thats what i got not knowing any difference.
The manual 3 port mixing valve and thermostatic heads.... I've replaced twice since.
I had new vouge c40 combi boiler in April to...
I want to swap over a shower mixer valve and it appears the previous installer got the hot and cold the wrong way round.
The pipes to the valve are fed directly from a Stuart Turner twin pump, is it as simple as changing the outlet pipes over on the pump to correct this issue
Hi Last year I replaced a Thermostatic bar shower mixer valve in a rented property and all seemed ok ,but recently the owner said it wasn't working properly .When you turn on the valve nothing happens but if you turn on the bath tap briefly, it works fine ., they also made it work by twisting...
Hi
I am trying to track down a Westminster 1902 bath/shower mixer valve diverter. I thought I could replace it with a Bristan 1902 diverter but it does not fit> I have tried my usual sources but no luck. I am sure there must be some company who keeps them.
It is the valve on the left in the...
Shower valve off combi boiler goes hot/cold and is never constant.
Does anyone ever “service” these or is it quicker and cheaper to replace whole thermostatic valve?
Can’t imagine there’s much to them apart from the cartridge and inlet filters.
I'm having to fit a new concealed mixer valve (6 year old Bristan cartridge no longer available) but the new ones typically have a 160 -185 mm circular wall plate that won't cover the 185 x 100 mm hole for the old valve. Where can I get a blank chrome wall plate, about 220 mm square to cover the...
Hi from a new member and thanks for taking the trouble to read this.
Problem is that the water has not been heating. Inspecting the MA1 actuator shows the black lever firmly in the H sector and I assume it should go to either the M or W when the cylinder thermostat is demanding. I flipped off...

Hello Everyone,
New to the forum and looking for some advice please.
In our bathroom there is a thermostatic mixer valve under the bath. It only has a single pipe in and out which is the cold. After the valve the pipe then joins the hot water inlet for the bathroom. I adjusted the valve to...

Hi,
I've come across a few thermostatic shower mixer valves where the technical spec states the inlet centres are 150mm (+- 5mm). What does the +-5mm mean, if on the valve body the distance of the inlet holes are fixed at 150mm.
Does it mean that the inlet centres on the wall can be between...
Hey if a monoblock kitchen lever tap is dripping. Is it hard to get a new cartridge for this? As it isn't just a case of changing a washer because there ceramic discs.?
A friend has a kitchen swivel mixer tap which needs both the compression washer valve cartridges renewed but I am unable
to find replacements of a suitable depth, niether compression
nor ceramic. I have an identical mixer in my kitchen.
The seats are about 35mm below the tap housing entry hole...

I have been looking at plate heat exchanges to produce DHW from a thermal store for showers and I come up with an ideal that I can’t be the first person to have thought off! (The free Danfoss Hexact software is great for doing the calcs.)
Have a primary feed and return running at about 55C...

We currently have underfloor heating split into 2 circuits in our kitchen.
At present there is no mixer valve in the installation. A thermostat controls a Grundfos pump to allow/stop the central heating radiator flow from the boiler, to both circuits simultaneously.
I was reading on a website...

My own heating was an open fire with back boiler which is now outside the front gate waiting for the metal fairies to make it disapear.
Fit a Stratford Ecoboiler HE7 and use existing cylinder for now, was on gravity...... now fully pumped.
Fit a heat leak radiator >10% the output of the boiler...
