gas analyser
An Orsat gas analyser is a piece of laboratory equipment used to analyse a gas sample (typically fossil fuel flue gas) for its oxygen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide content. Although largely replaced by instrumental techniques, the Orsat remains a reliable method of measurement and is relatively simple to use.
It was patented before 1873 by Mr. H Orsat as the Ellison Orsat Apparatus.
I'm looking at the above, hoping it will be a good all-purpose tool for repairing our 2 megawatt furnaces. I'm a bit unsure if I need any of the options on it, I don't want to overcomplicate things, but don't want to miss anything out
I want to use it for pressure testing and leak testing too...

Hi Guys,
Looking for some advice here. I have two Testo FGA's and they need servicing and calibration. Looking for somewhere that is dependable and competent and not going to cost half an arm....
Thanks in advance....
Asking opinions, thinking of getting a new gas analyser. Currently have a Anton Sprint V2. It's getting on a bit now and was thinking do I get another Anton as I have already got the accessories or do I get something complete different and if different what do other people use or recommend.
Hi, what's everyone's thought's on the best quality/value FGA just now?
I've had a Anton for the last 6 years but I'm getting to the point where it spends as much time being re-calibrated as it does in my van!
Thanks.
Did you still get as a reliable reading on a fga when inserting it in to the flue from externally as no sample points present on the boiler? I see in the viper book it says to insert 200mm. I remember doing it at college on a balanced flue boiler. Yet to have to do it in the field as to speak...
