I got a new kitchen fitted a while ago and the fitters routed the condensate pipe wrong so it flowed uphill.
This made the boiler cut out a lot.
The condensate pipe has now been re-routed and it doesn't cut out anymore, but every time water goes down the sink, the boiler...

Went to apartments with this set up. It's got an 18l expansion vessel. To pipes out the top. 2 central immersions going into the fuse board on the front. A pipe coming out midway with a grunfoss pump then goes back into cylinder. 1 pipe with pump(central heating) going into it.
There's a 2...

Hi,
I'm replacing my old sink with a new one which has a shallower bowl and the larger 90mm drainer.
As the bowl is shallower, I bought a new P-trap with a longer & adjustable up-stand.
The problem is that neither the original p-trap upstand nor the brand new one will mate with the outlet on...

Thanks
Is there any way to set this configuration up without drilling a new hole into the wall? The new sink is in a slight different position to the previous setup. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dave
Hi all, I've got to change the taps for our small bathroom basin, the pipework comes through the wall and up to the taps, and is quite short. Is there an option to fit flexible hose as the shortest I could find is 300mm, which would mean it would have to have a coil in it, if it is flexible...
Hi everyone, I have this plastic box under my sink which I do not know what it is. I would be interested to know please, I believe there is an electrical component within it, it's also connected to the cold water supply. Thank you.
Long story short....had someone out to quote on powerflush....they suggested chemical flush using a magnacleanse. So went with that based on their recommendation...
When they came out to do the job...it turned out their was not enough flow of water to pump through the big magnacleanse, so they...
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me what these two manual valves are and what they should be set at?
So far as I can tell, the lowest one (closest to tank) is the manual bypass and should be set to partially open but the other one has me stumped. What is it and should it be open or closed?
Thanks in...

Hi there,
I live in a fairly old house, which seems to have had some interesting modifications quite some time ago.
This includes our lounge radiator. It is mounted less than 5mm above the solid floor, and then a thick pile carpet has been crammed underneath, resulting in zero air flow into...
I have an old Bosch dishwasher that I want to get rid of. It is connected to the mains via an Aquastop pipe and solenoid. My temptation is just to unscrew it, but there does not seem to be a tap to turn off the water first. There is screw in the fitting under the solenoid that I can turn...
