DisplayPort (DP) is a digital display interface developed by a consortium of PC and chip manufacturers and standardized by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). It is primarily used to connect a video source to a display device such as a computer monitor. It can also carry audio, USB, and other forms of data.DisplayPort was designed to replace VGA, FPD-Link, and Digital Visual Interface (DVI). It is backward compatible with other interfaces, such as HDMI and DVI, through the use of either active or passive adapters.
It is the first display interface to rely on packetized data transmission, a form of digital communication found in technologies such as Ethernet, USB, and PCI Express. It permits the use of internal and external display connections. Unlike legacy standards that transmit a clock signal with each output, its protocol is based on small data packets known as micro packets, which can embed the clock signal in the data stream, allowing higher resolution using fewer pins. The use of data packets also makes it extensible, meaning more features can be added over time without significant changes to the physical interface.DisplayPort can be used to transmit audio and video simultaneously, although each can be transmitted without the other. The video signal path can range from six to sixteen bits per color channel, and the audio path can have up to eight channels of 24-bit, 192 kHz uncompressed PCM audio. A bidirectional, half-duplex auxiliary channel carries device management and device control data for the Main Link, such as VESA EDID, MCCS, and DPMS standards. The interface is also capable of carrying bidirectional USB signals. The interface uses an LVDS signal protocol that is not compatible with DVI or HDMI. However, dual-mode DisplayPort ports are designed to transmit a single-link DVI or HDMI protocol (TMDS) across the interface through the use of an external passive adapter, enabling compatibility mode and converting the signal from 3.3 to 5 volts. For analog VGA/YPbPr and dual-link DVI, a powered active adapter is required for compatibility and does not rely on dual mode. Active VGA adapters are powered directly by the DisplayPort connector, while active dual-link DVI adapters typically rely on an external power source such as USB.

3 port motorised valve wiring question.

Good evening everyone, Question 1 I have just replaced my 3 port motorised valve head and wired it in. When looking at my chocolate block connector the orange and grey wires are in different places than the diagram on the instructions shows. As you look at the terminal block for all the wiring...

    Honeywell 3 port diverter snag?

G'Day fellers. Appreciate your help please: When my boiler fires up it heats the water and radiators regardless of what is selected. I'm guessing that this means the valve is not moving from the de-energised position? Its a Honeywell V4073A. The manual/auto lever moves freely both ways and...

Danfoss HS3 3 Port Valve Question

Hi guys, Two questions I am hoping you can help me with. 1) My Danfoss HS3 motorised actuator has a rest position of B hot water as I found out is normal. Once I put the central heating on the valve winds fully to A again as expected but once the CH has been turned off the valve remains at A...

How stiff should the 3 port valve be?

Had a couple occasions where roomstat was calling for heat but boiler wouldn't fire. Wiggled the head on the 3 port valve (Drayton MA1) and the lever would then move from M to H, there'd be a click, the pump would come on and the boiler would fire. Actually on both occasions it looked like the...

    3 port valve problem

Why does my heating only work when hot water is satisfied, the motorised valve only opens when hot water is up to temp when I turn up cylinder stat valve shuts again. Worked ok for long enough wondering if its the synchron motor but it seems to open valve ok when hot water is satisfied.

Advice on 3 port motorised valve? - I have an unusual wiring requirement

Are there any 3 port motorised valves (preferable cheap) that do not require a constant mains current to flow when the value is either open or closed (ie it just needs current while actually opening or closing)? I'm trying to cobble together something for a small diesel heater to be used in a...

When CH is switched off the 3 port valve stays in the man position therefore the CH stays on

I have a Camray 5 90 external combi oil fired boiler. I replaced the 3 port valve body only as it was leaking and after that seemed to work ok. However shortly after when CH was being called for the accuator wasnt moving and had to manually be moved to man position to get CH. However the other...

    Three Port Valve Puzzle

Evening All, I changed a Drayton three port valve today as the valve was completely seized. It appears to be wired correctly. When I switch to HW it moves to HW and when I switch to Mid it moves to Mid. But when I switch to Heating it clicks repeatedly, the small lever on the actuator stays in...

Should my 3 port valve be a 2 port valve?

Hi, I bought a house last (built 1988) which had a 3 port valve (Honeywell V4073A), a vented cylinder and 2x tanks in the loft. I had a plumbing company remove the cylinder, 2x tanks and replace it with an pressurised cylinder and filling loop along with new radiators. They chose to keep the...

3 port valve override floppy - possible wiring problem?

Hi all, Im hoping one of you experts could shed some light on a potential issue.. but first a little background. In November 2016 I spent considerable money on a new boiler. The job involved: 1) removing old conventional boiler (in kitchen). Remove F&E tank from attic. 2) Install Valiant...

    Sunvic MOMO 3 port problem

I have a problem with a fairly new Sunvic SDMV2304 Motorised Mid Position 3-Port Valve (MOMO). It won't completely shut off the DHW and consequently the cylinder water is too hot. I have checked for complete rotation and this is fine. If I switch on the valve to make a complete rotation it then...
