The 8×22mm Nambu is a semi-rimmed, bottleneck handgun cartridge introduced in Imperial Japan in 1904, used in the Type 100 submachine gun and Nambu pistol. The 8×22mm round was used during the Pacific War and Second Sino-Japanese War.
Hello. Could anyone please advise ?
What is the thread of a standard ( as used in UK ) 22mm compression fitting ?
It appears to be 14 tpi but is slightly larger than 3/4 bsp.
Thank you, Pete.
I have a 40CDi combi boiler in a 1920s house. The heating does not get hot just warm. I have 22mm from the boiler to under the floor but then connects to original half inch/15mm copper lagged with hessian. I believe I am losing heat as some of the runs are quite long. A local plumber said I need...
Hello guys.
Hopefully somebody on here can help me.
I used to have a harveys water softener installed. I then redid the house and have changed the location of where the softener is plumbed in. Ive now bought a Monach Solo Ultra softener to go in place of the older harveys unit.
The issue...
Howdy Guys
Any ideas or suggestions for putting a copper pipe through a felt roof? I have to run a gas pipe up through the garage roof. Through the roof is the shortest, cleanest solution. But, I'm not sure how to seal it well, if indeed its possible. Any suggestions gratefully received.

I have run 22mm plastic to three showers and 22mm copper to the bath. Intention was to run 22 all the way to below the bath with last bit in 15 as normal.
The bath manufacturer now says they can't put the taps where we want. I don't want to chase in 22mm pipe into the wall (too deep). I could...
I’m trying to replace my TRV on my radiator but have found that my pipes are 15mm copper but the radiator has a 22mm radiator tail.
There isn’t enough space between the valve and the radiator/pipes to fit a compressor (which is what I think I need...)
the old broken valve looks like it goes...
Hi,
Im trying unsuccessfully to solder a 22mm to 3/4 yorkshire straight adapter. Ive done a fair bit of soldering before without issues but its all been on 15mm pipe.
With Yorkshire fittings im used to seeing a ring of older appear after about 15 seconds and then stop. However with this...
Has anyone else had recent problems with these???
Finished a new bathroom install 2 weeks ago to be called back become the compression joint had shot clean of the copper tube. Differently fitted to 22mm tube. I'd done the compression up so tight I struggled to undo with grips and adjustable...
Hello all,
I've bought a water pressure booster which works with 22mm pipe.
I have in my home a 20mm PEX pipe.
Can you help connect them ? (See picture of the booster)
Please specify exact connector/adaptors that I need.
Thanks a lot.
Hi all
So I am replacing a lead pipe in my property, and advise from another member was to replace the stopcock etc to 22mm instead of 15mm.
I was looking at the pipe coming from the road and it is a blue pipe, which was put in around 2 year ago. I presume this means it is MDPE?
Would the...
I need to fit another rad and have spare outlets on the manifold. This manifold is now obsolete. Standard 8mm olives do not fit. I have found Legris brass compression olives at RS online which i would describe as a collared olive. Would these be suitable? Mytub.co.uk shows an illustration of the...
hello, not a problem I’ve thought about before, but having an achp fitted so I need the maximum flow and return volume. However I find I can’t get 22mm TRV/ emitter valves only the standard 15mm. This seems bizarre due to the standard emitter Inlet/ outlet bore size. Will this cause much of a...
An old thermostatic mixer I want to reuse has 3/4 bsp inlets, with inserted non return valves. All the 3/4 to 22mm tap connectors I look at seem to have a protruding section to fit inside the 3/4, but the nrv which is of equal diameter to the protruding section, means they just sit against each...
Hi All,
Having a new extension built, the water main from the street has been replaced with 32mm MDPE.
Currently have a 15mm pipe that feeds the house from the stopcock and get interaction between appliances (shower drops flow when washing machine fills etc) - shower is fed straight from...
Once upon a time... it goes like this, plumber 'n I thought we'd have some fun!
Competition to bend 22mm copper (table X) in hand bender without pressing one of the handles on floor or wall - i.e. using it like a chest expander. One for tough nuts and labourers - so we cut some equal lengths...
Morning,
What do you pay for full bore lever valves, 15 & 22mm?
Personally I've found Williams to be the best price at £3.20 & £4.45.
Cheers in advance
Hello All
My OH's cold water tank has been ever so slightly leaking and I managed to locate the leak...it's a drip coming from where the feeder 22mm compression connector goes through the tank wall.
I've been up and down 4 times now..cleaned everything and replaced the rubber washers..new ones...
OK I have so far managed to avoid or replace lead pipes, but not this job.
Any recommendation for fitting to go from lead OD 25mm to 28mm - all three pipes have a different OD, lol to 22mm copper ?
many thanks
