Hey guys. What’s the easiest way of determining that a 2 port motor has failed? I know that if the stat is calling and the arm is set to open on the valve and the actuator is ok it will fire. Is it purely a case of checking whether 240v is at the brown and orange when heat is called for? Any...
Hi,
Your expertise would be appreciated on this issue:
Heating is working fine upstairs and downstairs, boiler is firing no issue. However, when I switch on hot water on the programmer and turn up the thermostat on the cylinder the boiler fires and I can see the EPH motorised 2-port valve...
I have a honeywell 2 port valve to the emersion tank which is allowing water to pass through on the closed position meaning the water is boiling hot.
A previous plumber left an old port valve in cupboard which I took to bits to see how it works. 😀
I thought the seal must have gone inside but...
Hi
has anyone ever come across a orkli 2 port motorised valve60520604(silver case) I only need actuator but finding it hard to source exact replacement, also do you know if the actuator can be replaced on this model without draining. Im only familier with honeywell and drayton. If not no...
Apologies if something like this already been covered.
We have new underfloor heating and new radiators upstairs.
Problem is the company who fitted the boiler didn't fit a valve to isolate the upstairs radiators, so I fear when we turn on the underfloor heating it will basically heat upstairs...
Hi,
I bought a house last (built 1988) which had a 3 port valve (Honeywell V4073A), a vented cylinder and 2x tanks in the loft. I had a plumbing company remove the cylinder, 2x tanks and replace it with an pressurised cylinder and filling loop along with new radiators. They chose to keep the...
Hi,
It appears the 2 port valve for the heating is sticking/stuck open.
The heating is turned right down on the thermostat but when the hot water is on (separate 2 port valve) the radiators are also getting warm.
I'm hoping it doesn't need to be a new valve......
Thanks in advance!
Hi. I'm needing a bit of reassurance.
I've had a long weekend, whilst enjoying my Sunday on the couch someone from around the corner called me to say their hot water wasn't working.
It's an S plan with 2x two port valves.
Heating works as it should on the timer and room stat.
Hot...
Help appreciated to help me think this one through.. :-)
Have changed the synchro motor
Gears are fine.. micro switch fully engages when hot water is switched on from timer.. you can see and hear the click from the microswitch
the switch is calling for the boiler to burn.. hot water no...
Hi
Can someone help please.
I get a massive bang when a two port valve closes.
I have secured the pipes.
It is an S plan and I believe it is the valve that goes to the hot water cylinder. If I turn the Thermostat up on the cylinder and get hot water from the boiler to flow and then turn...

hi, can you swap a Siemens 2 port valve for a honeywell valve without having to change the pipes? will the new honeywell valve fit on the old thing that the siemens valve is connected to
2 port valve problem maybe? My Boiler doesn't fire when the hot water is on. If I manually open the 2 port valve the boiler fires for a couple of seconds then shuts off again. Any help would be much appreciated

Recently fitted a new actuator and head unit to a Honeywell 2 port valve on the hot water. When calling for hot water, the valve opens, the pump runs but no boiler. When I take the cover off the valve and call for hot water, it works normally. This was the case on the previous valve that was...
I have an S Plan heating system at home with upstairs and downstairs split as 2 zones. The downstairs heating stopped working recently, but all was still ok with the hot water and the upstairs heating. It appears that the 2 port valve on the downstairs zone has failed, as when the system calls...
