Hi.. Advice please regarding a new Worcester Bosch 8000 Life 35 for a 4 bed detached with ensuite and currently powerful shower which is great. We currently have an old High Flow 400 . I understand heat output will be the same on a 40 / 45 / 50 model but will the 35 be sufficient especially regarding water flow rate to the shower? Thanks
 
Your highflow has a built in store for HW.
The store will give more even temp even when demand changes during use.
No normal combi will be the same but some attempt to compensate with higher HW output (more KW).
So altho a larger output combi can deal with the flow rates of multiple bathrooms they are still doing it on demand and temps may fluctuate more than with a store.
I would look at a viessmann 111-w If you don't want a separate unvented cylinder.
(Unvented cylinder and system boiler should always be 1st choice for larger properties imo)
 
That being said:
You may find the 8000 acceptable, I think it's a great boiler
 
Do WB do a wall mounted stoarge combi?

OP...there is cost implication but I'd try and replace for like for like especially as you seem very happy with the performance. I have no experience with the WB 8000 L35 but the flow rate appears to be around 13L/m compared to the current WB 440 Highflows of 20L/m. I didn't look hard enough to see at what temperatures.
