I just find it shocking, we are now responsible and have nothing to reference to. You pay £500 for a course and there is no reference material included. I think our industry needs regulated but the way the regulation bodies organise the courses just seem like taking your money and passing all...
Ok, maybe been spoilt in the past. Last time I sat my ccn1 we were given the logic training manual. Which is great as a wee reference guide.
Two days of being rammed with new facts and figures seems a lot to then be called competent and not have any way of accessing the material we were just shown.
Hey all,
I just sat my lpg tickets this week. I'm now supposedly fully qualified to work on lpg. It's just that we were given no reference material to take away.
Is this normal practice? Seems pretty poor to me!
Cheers
Amy
Off topic is alright, maybe I won't try moving to Italy. My other half wants me to learn Italian as he can't speak it, but it wouldn't be my first choice. France or Germany. It's interesting what matchless was saying about Germany being way ahead of Britain, it would be great to get into renewables.
I have friends in Lyon which would be a great place for me to start, but I know little French. The idea obviously would be to get my language skills up.
That's great if it's easy too get a job abroad, but more to my point was are my qualifications from here (Scotland) relevant over in the EU. The only really extra plumbing quals I can think of is my unvented cert, plus my ccn1. Do you mean you have contacts with plumbing/heating firms in the EU...
