Right next to the fire place if yes it’s gas
 
It's in the hallway which is next kitchen and beneath a radiator. It sticks out the floorboards by an inch.
Its the blanked end of a gas restricter elbow...you only have one option...get it tested to see if it is live or leaking, then get it traced back and capped off right back at source. This is NOT a diy job and also one that cannot be ignored. Get a GSR outfit in
directly. As you know about it now as you exposed it ...you might have issues with your landlord or insurance company now. centralheatking

Hi. I need a new toilet supply line but don’t know the size type of the fitting at the shut off valve. It is not 3/8 compression. It is a plastic nut about the same size as the one going into the cistern but has a different thread. Attached is a photo. Can you advise. Thanks.
